According to the Public Relations Office of Sadjad University, the Space Programming Contest was held on Thursday, November 7, organized by the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology Engineering in collaboration with the university's scientific associations. This significant national event featured esteemed professors and experts in the field, along with 52 teams of computer science students from universities across the country, including Sharif University of Technology, Shahid Beheshti University, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Sadjad University, Islamic Azad University of Tehran, Mashhad, and Karaj, Shahrud University of Technology, Quchan University of Technology, Hakim Sabzevari University, Montazeri University, Khayam University, Shahid University of Tehran, Imam Reza University, and Birjand University.
Additionally, a specialized session on artificial intelligence was conducted during the contest, featuring professors and industry professionals. The discussion focused on the impact of language models such as GPT on software development processes and innovation in the IT industry, as well as related challenges. Topics also included reducing costs in IT projects through the assistance of AI, the potential of AI substituting certain IT jobs, the future landscape of information technology in light of AI advancements, the relationship between industry, academia, and students, mutual expectations, and how to bridge the gap between industry, academia, and students.
The contest progressed to its final stage on Friday, November 8. In the closing ceremony, where 52 teams of computer science students from universities nationwide participated, nine teams achieved ranking. The top three teams were awarded valuable prizes and certificates of appreciation.
